'My opinion is...' - Mikel Arteta compares Arsenal man's qualities to David Silva's

Mikel Arteta has compared Martin Odegaard to Manchester City's legend David Silva ahead of the Saturday clash. Arteta has worked with Silva during his time at City and he knows a lot about midfield creators. Speaking in his pre-match interview, the Arsenal boss has been asked about the two players' comparison to which he responded.

“That's a big name,” Arteta said.   “My opinion is David is the best I've seen playing between the lines for the last 20 years.    “Martin has got a tremendous quality and the capacity to unlock situations and put players through to generate open spaces in tight areas.    “I’m really happy [with him] and now he's improving in his goal threat as well so we have a big player there that is very willing to become one of the best, but it's still very early.”

  On Saturday, January 1 the Gunners are set to host Pep Guardiola's team at Emirates Stadium in Premier League.
