Arsenal may have the opportunity to sign Ferran Torres from Barcelona, according to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, via HITC.
Earlier in May, talkSPORT had already mentioned Arsenal's interest in acquiring the services of the former Manchester City forward during the summer transfer window. The report suggested that Arteta have long admired the 23-year-old Spanish international, while Aston Villa were also said to be interested in signing Torres.
Now, Mundo Deportivo claims that Catalan giants are open to selling Torres for €40 million (£34 million) as they have not been convinced of his suitability in head coach Xavi's system.
Torres had 14 starts and 19 substitute appearances for Barcelona in La Liga this season, where he managed to score four goals and provide two assists.
Considering Arsenal's need for a traditional center-forward, Mikel Arteta could potentially shape Torres into that role and pair him with Gabriel Jesus.
