Muller and Lewandowski join the 100 club

Bayern Munich stars Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski both made their 100th international appearances this autumn. Lewandowski reached the landmark in October’s UEFA Nations League match against Portugal. He has made his debut for Poland in September 2008, captaining his nation since December 2014. The Pole is his country's top scorer with 55 goals in his 102 appearances. Muller reached the number on Monday in the 2-2 draw with the Netherlands. He has made his debut in November 2009, and with 38 goals in the country’s top goal scorer among currently active players. Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge congratulated players:“I’d like to warmly congratulate Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Müller on behalf of Bayern Munich. Winning 100 caps for your country is something special and a fantastic milestone. FC Bayern is very proud to have these two extraordinary footballers among its ranks,” Both players will be honoured ahead of Saturday’s Bundesliga match against Fortuna Düsseldorf at the Allianz Arena.
