Moto GP leader Marc Marquez “could not breathe” after Thailand race crash

Moto GP championship leader Marc Marquez suffered a horror crash in Free Practice One at the Thailand Grand Prix. The 26-year-old lost control of his back at turn six of the Buriram International Circuit. Marquez was taken to hospital to undergo medical checks but thankfully avoided serious injury. "It was a nightmare, for around five seconds I couldn't breathe," said the Spanish star who has won five of the last sixth world titles. Alberto Puig, Marquez's team boss at Repsol Honda, added: "We were lucky, but he is OK. Marquez went to the hospital to check everything, they did an MRI and everything looks fine. "He had some contusions in the back and also in the leg, and also here in the hip a little bit, but nothing to be worried about."
