Montenegro punished by UEFA over racist abuse of England national team stars

UEFA Disciplinary commission has made a final decision for Montenegro federation over fans’ racist abuse of England national team players Raheem Sterling, Danny Rose and Callum Hudson-Odoi. Montenegro national team will play their next home match without fans. Podgorica’s stadium will host Kosovo on June 7 and it will be behind the closed doors for fans. Gareth Southgate’s side beat Montenegro national team 5-1, but the match was overshadowed by the racial abuse towards England stars. Raheem Sterling, who scored one of the goals of Three Lions, reacted to fans’ behavior, cupping his hands to his ears. Manchester City star wrote after the match: “Best way to silence the haters (yeah I mean racists).”
