Monchi to Arsenal ? The Gunners offer him technical director role

Roma director of football Monchi has been linked with a move to Arsenal. He has a good relationship with Arsenal boss Unai Emery, and could spearhead a transfer overhaul at the Emirates Stadium. According to Marca, Arsenal are reportedly willing to pay Monchi's €1 million release clause to free him from his Roma deal, which runs through 2020. Speaking in 2015, Monchi hailed Emery for making the most of the players provided to him at Sevilla. "Unai is critical for our model to be successful," he said. "He obtains results when we need them, he improves the players and is popular with our fans. He is the perfect fit."
