Liverpool star Sadio Mane won the CAF African Player of the Year 2019 on Tuesday, January 7.

For the award, Mane was nominated along with his teammate Mohamed Salah and Manchester City player Riyad Mahrez.

After Mane was named as the winner, Mohamed Salah, who won the awards previously on 2017 and 2018, congratulated his teammate via Instagram stories.

Salah posted a picture of Mane along with a caption, which read: "Congrats bro".
