Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has issued a challenge to his team-mates as he wants his fellow colleges to “stick together and stay with each other”. The Egyptian star is top of the scoring tables in the Premier League on 16 goals, leading his best-placed rivals by three. But Salah says that personal glory means nothing, compared to the Reds’ problems.
“It’s good to win trophies individually but we just need to focus in that period and try to win games and go through the right way,” he said. “When I score goals and help the team to win games, that’s what makes me happy. But if you score goals and the team is still not winning, that’s not a great feeling. So we just need to carry on and I’m trying always to score goals to help the team. We just need to stick together and carry on, win games and stay with each other.”
Jurgen Klopp’s side have won just three of their last 11 matches. In the same period last season, they won 10 of 11 matches.
