AC Milan could scupper Antonio Conte’s hopes of bringing Fiorentina midfielder Milan Badelj to Chelsea, according to Goal.
The Blues are looking to strengthen their midfield options in light of Cesc Fabregas and John Obi Mikel’s diminishing influence.
However, with Milan midfielder Riccardo Montolivo suffering a serious knee injury on international duty, the Rossoneri are expected to pip Chelsea to Badelj’s signature.
Badelj, a 27-year-old Croatia international, has featured seven times for La Viola this season, scoring once.
