Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will face a surprise transfer decision over Granit Xhaka, who has been improving his form lately.
The 28-year-old breaks the opposition line with his pin-point passes, has improved his defensive discipline and has taken on the mantle of a leadership figure in the team. So this will see him stay at the Emirates beyond summer.
Against Southampton it was Xhaka who created two big chances, made two key passes, 45 touches and came out of the game with a 90 per cent pass accuracy rate.
He is putting in the kind of form which could make Arteta avoid making an expensive summer midfield purchase.
Xhaka has made 23 appearances for Gunners this season, having scored and assisted once.
