Arsenal celebrated a 2-0 win over West Ham United in London derby on Wednesday night.
Gabriel Martinelli opened the scoring after a goalless first-half assisted by Alexandre Lacazette. In the last minutes of the game Emile Smith Rowe netted the second one for Gunners.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was left out of the Arsenal squad after being stripped of the captaincy.
After the game head coach Mikel Arteta has revealed what he said to the players about Aubameyang. He said:
"The players play for the club and the players play with the fight and the energy that we all expect from them. I was really happy from the beginning.
"How they see it, how focused they were the energy they put in the performance because we knew we had to play really well today to beat West Ham and I think we’ve done it."
Asked on any news on the Gabon international's situation Arteta simply responded:
"No news."
