Mikel Arteta responds when asked about Arsenal's next captain

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has responded when asked whether Granit Xhaka could become the new club captain after the announcement that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been stripped of the armband. On Tuesday it was announced that the Gabon international will no longer captain Arsenal, as he reportedly returned later than planned from a trip to France last week. Arteta was asked whether former captain Xhaka can be the skipper of Gunners, once again. Arsenal boss replied:

"Granit is one of the captains and he’s part of the leadership group and is a really important player for us."
