Arsenal suffered a 2-0 loss to Liverpool in the second leg clash of the EFL Cup semi-final on Thursday.
The Reds have progressed into the final, where they will face Chelsea.
Diogo Jota scored both goals for Jurgen Klopp’s side as Trent Alexander-Arnold provided assists for both goals.
However, in the 90th minute of the clash Thomas Partey was sent off after he dove in on Fabinho to win a 50/50 duel, as studs were planted into the Liverpool man’s ankle.
After the game, head coach Mikel Arteta was asked about Partey's red card. The Spaniard replied:
"It’s a big loss. We have to learn from that.
"We’ve played the last three games with ten men and against top sides you can’t do that because you’re completely exposed. It’s not what we need with a lot of people out."
