Mikel Arteta provides update on Emile Smith Rowe's Arsenal future amid Aston Villa links

Mikel Arteta has claimed that Emile Smith Rowe will not leave Arsenal this summer despite interest from Aston Villa. The youngster, who scored as the Gunners suffered a 2-1 defeat to Hibernian in their first pre-season fixture of the campaign, has been subject of two failed transfer bids this summer. Aston Villa are said to be interested in signing Smith Rowe, however, Arteta revealed the 20-year-old isn't going anywhere.

"Without a question," said Arsenal boss when asked if he was determined to keep the Hale Ender in North London.   "Yes. He will stay here. 100%."
