Arsenal are set to face Liverpool on Saturday night as the Premier League action resumes.
Mikel Arteta will be without undroppable Granit Xhaka as he missed the training ahead of the clash.
"Granit was unwell on Friday morning and missed the day's training session," a statement on
Arsenal.com reads.
"Granit will be further assessed ahead of Saturday's match regarding his availability.
"All other players in the men's first-team squad are currently available for selection."
Looking at the Spaniard's team selection against Southampton and Everton - the last time Xhaka missed a Premier League game - it's likely that he will choose between Dani Ceballos or Mohamed Elneny to partner Thomas Partey in the engine room.
And Elneny seems to be the immediate back-up central midfield option for Premier League games having started against Manchester City as well as Leicester City, whilst Ceballos' most recent start in the competition was the 4-2 win over Leeds United on February 14.
