Mikel Arteta gives his verdict on Takehiro Tomiyasu and Aaron Ramsdale Arsenal debuts

Arsenal picked up their first win of the 2021/22 Premier League on Saturday, as they beat Norwich City 1-0. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netted the first Arsenal goal for this campaign and also handed their first three points. On Saturday's game both Takehiro Tomiyasu and Aaron Ramsdale made their Arsenal debuts and after the game head coach Mikel Arteta assessed the duo's display vs Norwich. On Tomiyasu, Gunners boss said:
"Really positive. The first impression when you meet him is joy, happiness and energy. He was cramping [in the second half], he had to travel [earlier in the week] and we had to take him off."
While on Ramsdale added:
"I think he was terrific. Not only what he did on the technical side, it's what he transmits. His chemistry with the backline... I had to make a decision today and Aaron was the right one to do so."
On the game overall, Arteta said:
"It was a must-win game and I saw a team out of the blocks straight away, wanted to score and wanted to please everybody."
