Mikel Arteta has hailed the improvement of Emile Smith Rowe this season compared to the last one.
The Arsenal youngster has scored six goals and has picked up two assists this term.
And ahead of the clash with Southampton this weekend, Arteta was asked about the improvement he has seen in Smith Rowe and the Arsenal boss heaped praise on the youngster.
“He has improved the dynamic and the attacking threat of the team with his movement and the way he links and finds relationships on the pitch.
“His threat on goal this season has been much, much better, with the capacity that he has to create chances, to open spaces for other team-mates, and he’s been a key player.
“Hopefully we can sustain that over time.”
Speaking about his fitness, Arteta said, as per
Arsenal.com:
“Emile has trained today and he was feeling much better after losing him for the last game and hopefully he will be available to play.”
