Mike Phelan explains what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should do to succeed at Old Trafford

Manchester United assistant manager Mike Phelan has explained what the club boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should do in order to succeed at Old Trafford. When the Norwegian coach returned to United 10 months ago, the team managed to win 14 games of their 17 appearances. But then the club's game hugely changed, when the senior players of the Red Devils left and Solskjaer brought three of his own. Now United are suffering a terrible season, remaining on the 14th place of the Premier League table, which is the worst result of the club during the last 30 years. Phelan thinks the Red Devils boss need more signings to improve the squad and give back the club's fame. He told The Athletic: “Ole relates well with the players, he understands what Man United is. It is definitely a difficult moment, but Ole hasn’t got his team yet. He’s had three players (signed), you need more than three to be the manager of your own team. We can build on something, I think. Ole just needs that opportunity to create the culture again." Solskjaer's side will face their next Premier League opponent, Norwich City, on Sunday.
