Michael Owen makes prediction for Liverpool V Everton match

Former Liverpool star Michael Owen expect his former side to extend their five-match winning streak in the league on Wednesday night. Liverpool host Everton at Anfield. The Reds come into this Merseyside derby leading the leading by eight points so confidence could not be higher in contact to their rivals. The Reds will be without Alisson who was sent off in the win over Brighton so back-up Adrian comes into the starting line-up for this match. “The 234th Merseyside derby sees Liverpool – with an 8-point lead at the top of the Premier League – entertain an Everton side one place and two points above the relegation places. Safe to assume a routine home win for the Reds? Think again,” Owen said. “The Reds will not be taking their Merseyside rivals lightly and Jurgen Klopp will be well aware that Everton could, and probably should, have taken a point at Leicester on Sunday against Liverpool’s nearest challengers in the table. Liverpool, surprisingly, have yet to keep a clean sheet at Anfield so far this season, but I expect the Reds will be celebrating a 94th Merseyside derby win against the Blues." Source- Metro
