Mesut Ozil, Bernd Leno and all Arsenal’s World Cup stars will return for pre-season

Arsenal have just nine players at the World Cup and head coach Unai Emery will be able to work with a large number of them ahead of 2018/19 Premier League campaign. But there are still some players who have yet to return to Colney due to their commitments with their national teams in Russia. Ozil, Iwobi, Joel Campbell and Mohamed Elneny are all scheduled to return to Colney on Monday, July 23, however, it remains unclear whether the quartet will be a part of the travelling squad in their pre-season tour to Singapore. The Gunners have games against Atletico Madrid on Thursday, July 26 and then Paris Saint-Germain two days later. Anyway, they could be considered for the start of the Premier League season a week later when the Gunners face Manchester City on the opening weekend. Danny Welbeck may miss that game, should England go on to reach the World Cup final.
