Arsenal fans have been left baffled at what Mesut Ozil was doing during their second goal against Rennes. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang got the Gunners going with a goal after five minutes before scoring again in the second half. Ainsley Maitland-Niles put Arsenal on level term with his header. However, fans have picked up on what Mesut Ozil was doing during the goal. After 15 minutes, Aubameyang brings the ball forward on the left wing and feed Aaron Ramsey in the middle, who threads a ball through. The Rennes defence stop, thinking they have caught Sead Kolasinac offside, but Gabon forward continues running, crossing the ball just in time. Maitland-Niles smashes the ball in with a thumping header. Ozil, meanwhile, standing in the box, throws his hands up as he believes the ball has gone out. The German turns his back and does not even join his team-mates in celebration.
