The 2020/21 football season is about to end with only a few matches remaining. In some top European leagues the winners have already been revealed: Bayern Munich in Bundesliga, Manchester City in the Premier League and Inter Milan in Serie A.
In La Liga and Ligue 1 the winners are yet to be decided.
So as we’re nearing to the season finale, let’s take a look at who the best goalscorers are in the top five European leagues, according to Transfermarkt.
The Bayern Munich striker has been stunning for his side for another glorious season. The Bundesliga giants have won the league title for the ninth time in a row and Muller, obviously had a huge input in that.
The 31-year-old has made 31 appearances for Bayern this season, during what he managed to score 11 goals and provided 21 assists.
Hansi Flick’s side still have two games to play in the Bundesliga: against SC Freiburg on May 15 and Augsburg on May 22.
Yesterday against Sassuolo, Ronaldo scored his 100th goal in the Juventus jersey.
The football superstar moved to Turin three years ago with a hope of wining various trophies, including the Champions League. However, this season, Andrea Pirlo’s side didn’t manage to win the Serie A title, like they used to do in the past couple of years.
Besides that, Juve currently sit 5th in the league standings with 72 points and might fail to qualify for the Champions League next season.
However, that didn’t prevent Ronaldo from doing what he likes the most- scoring goals. This season the 36-year-old netted 29 times in his 33 Serie A games.
Muriel is the top scorer in the Serie A, having 22 goals to his name in his 35 games for Atalanta.
The Serie A side are currently second in the league standings with 75 points and share that place with AC Milan.
Atalanta still have three games to play this season: against Genoa, May 15 and Milan, May 23.
