Mercedes respond after Lewis Hamilton sparks F1 quit fears in emotional message

Lewis Hamilton sparked worldwide fears yesterday when he wrote a message on Instagram saying he considered “giving up on everything.” Hamilton quickly deleted the message which was uploaded his Instagram story. Some supporters labelled him a hypocrite for driving petrol cars and jetting around the world for his job. However, Mercedes have since spoken to Germany’s SID news agency to explain where their main driver is coming from. “I think he was referring to environmental issues and not anything related to racing,” a spokesperson said. “However, I’m not sure.”
