Mercedes have teased fans of an expected update on Lewis Hamilton's contract status in their latest social media post. Hamilton still not signed up to a new contract with the German team. Pre-season testing starting at the beginning of March and contract is expected to be signed before that occasion. But several reports in recent weeks have suggested contract talks have been held up by several demands from Hamilton. Mercedes have now hinted at a breakthrough in negotiations in their latest social media post. In a tweet promoting Mercedes' F1-branded pen they wrote: "You never know when one of these might come in handy...". It's unlikely that Hamilton will decide to end on his glorious F1 career having stated on many times last year of his desire to continue in the sport.
