McTominay, Shaw: Manchester United injury list in full and expected return dates

Manchester United have three successive wins as they head into the Christmas week and will be hoping to keep their form going into the new year. The most important thing during this period of the year is to keep players fit and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be happy as he does not have too many issues to deal with but there are still a few injury concerns. Scott McTominay has picked up an injury during United's 6-2 win over Leeds. The midfielder was forced off the pitch late on with a groin strain. He didn't feature in Wednesday's Carabao Cup quarter-final victory over Everton. However, it remains to be seen how long he may face on the sidelines. Luke Shaw was forced off in the first half of the Leeds game as he continued to struggle with an illness he had been suffering with earlier in the week. Shaw did come off the bench against Everton, however, as an 84th-minute replacement for Alex Telles. But he is expected to be back on December 26. Marcos Rojo hasn't appeared for United in over a year since November 2019 and he is likely to be back on January 9. Phil Jones has suffered another setback in his recovery and will not return until January. The centre-back hasn't played for the club since January and hasn't been named in either the Premier League or Champions League squads this season. Manchester United will return to action on Boxing as they travel to face Leicester City.
