Max Verstappen has backed the decision to retain Alexander Albon as his team-mate at Red Bull in 2020.
Albon has finished every race in the top six and has moved above Gasly and Carlos Sainz into sixth place in the drivers' standings.
"He's a nice guy and I think for him the last 12 months has been a bit of a rollercoaster," Verstappen said of Albon. "Of course he's very laid-back, very relaxed. And people like him in the team.
"He's easy-going, which I think helps. And he's quick, he's doing his job, he's getting the points. So I think it was the smartest way of continuing. At the end of the day, it's not up to me, of course, to judge his performance. It's Christian [Horner] and Helmut [Marko], of course, who make the decisions."
