Maurizio Sarri's 14-word Paul Pogba transfer statement after becoming Juventus boss

Photo/90min/JuventusFC Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri has vowed to “succeed” with Paul Pogba at Juventus, should the Italian giants re-sign the midfielder from Manchester United. Sarri has left Chelsea to become manager of Juventus on a three-year deal. The 60-year-old joined the Blues from Napoli in July 2018 and led them to third in the Premier League and won the Europa League in his one season in charge. Sarri has signed a three-year contract worth over €6m per year plus bonuses. According to Calciomercato, upon learning of Juve's interest in the Man United midfielder, Sarri announced: "I succeeded with [Eden] Hazard, I can also do it with a phenomenon like Pogba." Pogba, who joined United from Juventus for a then-world record £89.3m fee in August 2016, has admitted, he is ready to leave. “I am thinking of this: To have a new challenge somewhere else,” Pogba said. “For me, I have been for three years in Manchester and have been doing great; some good moments and some bad moments, like everybody. Like everywhere else. After this season and everything that happened this season, with my season being my best season as well… I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge.” The France World Cup winner has been linked with a big-money move to Spanish giants Real Madrid or former club Juventus, the Serie A champions.
