Maurizio Sarri speaks out on transfer ban, Eden Hazard and provides worrying injury update on Kante

Chelsea hope to book their place in the Europa League final when they host Eintracht Frankfurt to Stamford Bridge on Thursday. Luka Jovic briefly put the Blues under pressure at the Commerzbank-Arnea last week but Pedro’s goal on the stroke of half-time helped steady the ship. The Blues will be without Antonio Rudiger for the remainder of the season, although Gary Cahill has recovered from an Achilles injury. Callum Hudson-Odoi is also out for the clash. Ahead of the game, Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has spoken out to the press. FIFA have rejected Chelsea’s appeal against a one-year transfer ban for breaking rules regarding youth transfers. On transfer ban, Sarri said: “I am not able to answer that. There will be a statement, I will not be able to help you.” Chelsea can go into their final Premier League match, knowing that Champions League is already secured for next season. The Blues' 3-0 win over Watford was enough to see them secure a top-four spot and a place in Europe's premier competition next term. “I think that we have reached the target of the club, so we are really very happy for this. We have to play in another competition. We have to reach the final and then try to win the competition. Our feeling is that we are to win a trophy. We have to play to win. It is not easy because we have to play a very dangerous team as we saw in the first leg. They are dynamic and aggressive and when they can find spaces, it is a dangerous match,” said Sarri. Sarri said, that N’Golo Kante will also miss the Europa League semi-final: “He had a problem with his hamstring, not very serious but he needs to rest for a couple of weeks. We can try to recover him for only the final if we get there. I am not sure if he can, but we can try.” The Blues boss was asked, whether Eden Hazard will stay at the club and he answered: “You have to ask the club.” It has been reported, that AS Roma are eyeing Sarri, however, the Italian rejected the rumours. “As I have said I want to stay here. I like English football, the atmosphere. I want to stay in English football. I can try with another English club.... (he jokes),” said Sarri.
