Mauricio Pochettino makes bizarre claim about Hugo Lloris’ injury

Mauricio Pochettino claims Hugo Lloris’ thigh injury was caused by the stress of his drink-drive shame.

Tottenham goalkeeper Lloris was fined £50,000 and banned from driving for 20 months by a court earlier this month. Lloris played for Spurs in the next match after his arrest as they sealed an impressive 3-0 win at Manchester United on August 27. It has been reported that Lloris has a thigh injury, which will keep him out of their trip to Brighton. Spurs head coach Pochettino said: “He was under stress during the game against Manchester United, and the added stress maybe created that injury. “The injury now is helping him to take time and think and be a little bit more relaxed. “To compete after what happened was a massive stress for him.”
