Mauricio Pochettino is “fuming” with Tottenham player form after Jose Mourinho’s takeover

Mauricio Pochettino will be fuming after seeing Dele Alli’s current form under Jose Mourinho at Tottenham, claims former Leeds United forward Noel Whelan. The 23-year-old midfielder has been under huge pressure over the past two years as he didn’t manage to show the display he used to have in his first two seasons at Spurs. However, Alli’s display in recent two clashes under Jose Mourinho- 3-2 win over West Ham and 4-2 win over Olympiacos, may have been a reason for Pochettino to be angry as he scored and assisted in those two games. Speaking to Football Insider Whelan said: “You can imagine Poch is fuming. Alli looked disinterested and average for over a year. Mourinho comes in and suddenly he looks a different player. He’ll be thinking, ‘what’s going on, why didn’t he play like that for me?’.” After Saturday’s win over West Ham Tottenham are now in the 10^th place with 17 points in the Premier League and after 4-2 win over Olympiacos they’ve gained 10 points and are in the 2^nd place in the Champions League Group B.
