Mauricio Pochettino delivers injury update on Harry Kane after win over Manchester City

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has delivered update on Harry Kane’s injury that he sustained in 1-0 win over Manchester City. According to Pochettino Kane may miss the remainder of the season as his injury ‘does not look good’. The forward limped out of Spurs’ 1-0 win against Manchester City when the score was goalless midway through the second half of a pulsating night in north London. However, Pochettino admits he’s likely to be without Kane. Asked if Kane could miss the rest of the season, Pochettino nodded and said: “If you see the action – it is an action where he twists the ankle and it can damage the ligament. We have to check in the next few days. It’s so painful but what can we do now? It’s impossible [to change anything] we have to look forward and hope it’s not a big issue. We hope he can recover as soon as possible but it does not look good.” Spurs take a slender one-goal advantage to the Etihad next week where they’ll be slight favourites to progress to the semi-finals.
