Champions League football returns on Tuesday for Matchday 3 of 6 of the group stage, and below are my predictions.
As always, my predictions are based on gut feelings, current form, and home advantage, and as a result, they are not 100 percent correct.
Matchday 3 of 6 Champions League Predictions
I have made predictions on Tuesday Champions League matches only, and the likes of Bayern Munich and Manchester United are my top bankers to win tonight.
Galatasaray vs Bayern Munich
Gala may be in top form, but the fact that Bayern haven't lost a group stage game in recent seasons is enough reason to back them to get yet another win. Also, Galatasaray were lucky at Manchester United, and I doubt they will have the same luck against Bayern.
Prediction: Galatasaray 1-3 Bayern Munich
Betting Tip: Away to win
Inter Milan vs RB Salzburg
I expect an easy game for Inter Milan. RB Salzburg lost at home to Real Sociedad last time out, and what are the chances of them getting at least a draw against the Serie A leaders?
Prediction: Inter Milan 3-1 RB Salzburg
Betting Tip: Home win
Union Berlin vs Napoli
This is a tricky game that could end in a draw because both teams are struggling to replicate their last-season form. However, Napoli are in better shape and if this game has a win, then it has to be from the Napples.
Prediction: Union Berlin 1-3 Napoli
Betting Tip: Over 2.5 goals
Sevilla vs Arsenal
Arsenal lost their last away UCL game to RC Lens, and because they have struggled to dominate matches away from home, their chances of outclassing Sevilla are slim. Sevilla put up a show at home against Real Madrid, and if they replicate the same form against the Gunners, then there's a chance they could get the win. Arsenal will not want to lose back-to-back away UCL games; hence, a chance for a draw is likely.
Prediction: Sevilla 1-1 Arsenal
Betting Tip: BTTS
Braga vs Real Madrid
Braga may have done well in the Portuguese Primeira Liga, but this is the Champions League, and Real Madrid relish the chances of winning games like this one. Madrid have the quality to do so, but it will be tough.
Prediction: Braga 1-3 Real Madrid
Betting Tip: Away to win and BTTS
Lens vs PSV
PSV are in top form, while Lens are trying to rediscover their last term form. PSV are good goalscoring side, and because of their ability to score at least three goals, I've backed them to return to the Netherlands with all three points.
Prediction: Lens 1-3 PSV
Betting Tip: Over 2.5 goals
Benfica vs Real Sociedad
The last time a Spanish team visited Portugal, they won. Barcelona won at Porto 1-0, but it wasn't an easy win. Benfica are slightly better in form than Porto, and because Real Sociedad are not as strong as Barca, the chances of this game ending in a draw are decent, but I'll go for a shock home win.
Prediction: Benfica 2-1 Real Sociedad
Betting Tip: BTTS
Manchester United vs Copenhagen
There's no way Manchester United are keeping a clean sheet in this one. Copenhagen scored twice at Galatasaray and scored against Bayern Munich. You expect United to win home games like this, thanks to the array of brilliant individuals at Erik ten Hag's disposal, and that's the case.
Prediction: Manchester United 3-1 Copenhagen
Betting Tip: Home win and BTTS
