Match official confirmed for Wolves vs Manchester City

Wolves will host Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday, September 30.

After achieving a historic treble last season, City have started this season flawlessly in its pursuit of an unprecedented fourth consecutive top-flight title.

In their last Premier League match, Pep Guardiola's team secured a perfect record of six wins from six by defeating Nottingham Forest 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium, even though they had to play with 10 men following Rodri's red card early in the second half.

However, the UCL champions experienced their first setback of the season on Wednesday night when they were eliminated from the Carabao Cup, suffering a 1-0 defeat against Newcastle.

On the other hand, Wolverhampton had a rather disappointing start to the season. Gary O'Neil's team has lost four of their first six league games, although they managed to earn a point in an away match against Luton last Saturday. Nonetheless, their morale took another hit with a 3-2 Carabao Cup defeat to Ipswich Town on Tuesday night.

Ahead of the game, match officials have been confirmed. Craig Pawson has been appointed as the referee.

Match officials in full:

  • Referee: Craig Pawson.
  • Assistants: Darren Cann, Marc Perry.
  • Fourth official: James Bell.
  • VAR: Robert Jones.
  • Assistant VAR: Neil Davies.
