Mascherano: “The fate has given us one more chance”
Javier Mascherano and Lucas Biglia have spoken about chances to reach playoffs and the atmosphere inside the team after shocking defeat against Croatia.
Albiceleste lost to European side 0-3 and were almost out of chances to go through ⅛ finals, but Nigeria beat Iceland to give 2-time world cup champions hopes.
“The result from Nigeria means the fate has given us one more chance, but he have to improve. Best coaches in the world will talk with players and make their decisions. This happens either in Barcelona or in Argentina.” Mascherano said.
According to latest reports, players will decide how to play against Nigeria, while Jorge Sampaoli doesn’t have authority in dressing room anymore.
“The relationship with our coach is normal. We should talk if there is an issue, otherwise we will be playing unusual way” he added.
