Manchester United are facing concerns over Lisandro Martinez's fitness following a concerning knee injury he sustained during their match against West Ham.
Despite securing a 3-0 victory, the Argentine star had to be substituted in the 70th minute due to the injury. Manager Erik ten Hag expressed worry about Martinez's condition in the post-match press conference, saying:
"I can't say [how long], but it doesn't look good so there's a big concern, but we have to wait for the coming days what the diagnosis is then we can tell you more."
The team also had several other players unavailable for selection, including Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Tyrell Malacia, Mason Mount, and Anthony Martial.
Martinez's return date is uncertain, while Wan-Bissaka and Mount could potentially return for the game against Aston Villa on February 11th. Malacia's return is predicted for February 2024, while Martial is expected to return in April 2024.
