Martin Keown has criticized Matteo Guendouzi over 'hippy crack' storm

Arsenal legend Martin Keown believes Matteo Guendouzi has let down Unai Emery over the 'hippy crack' incident. "I know how difficult it can be for a young player breaking into the first team. This is a 19-year-old Frenchman who, at that time, was yet to kick a ball in English football," Keown writes in the Mail. "You want to show that you are one of the lads and this could well have been his first night out with his new team-mates. "Guendouzi may have been egged on but Emery must feel he needs to keep a lid on this young man's behaviour." As it has been reported before, The Sun have released footage of Özil, Aubameyang, Lacazette, Mustafi, Mkhitaryan, Sead and Guendouzi partying at a nightclub in August just days before the opening fixture vs City. Later Arsenal made a statement, which read: “The players will be spoken to about this and reminded of their responsibilities as representatives of the club.”
