Manuel Neuer slammed as 'unacceptable' following Premier League transfer comments

Legendary former Germany and Bayern captain Lothar Matthaus has blasted Manuel Neuer over comments the goalkeeper’s agent made about the gap between the top Premier League clubs and Bayern Munich. Neuer's agent Thomas Kroth spoke to Sueddeutsche Zeitung about his client, saying: "He is driven by success. My impression is that the gap between the top four English clubs is already serious, and Bayern, for the moment, is not sufficiently competitive to achieve Manuel's objectives." Matthaus did not take kindly to the comments about his former club and said Neuer should have spoken to the club if he was not happy. "His behaviour is totally unacceptable," Matthäus told German newspaper Bild , in quotes reported by AS . "As the captain of Bayern, he should speak to the club if he has a problem with the situation over signings. The doors of the management are always open."
