Manny Pacquiao hits back at 'jealous' Floyd Mayweather after 'old man' jibe

Manny Pacquiao is confident Floyd Mayweather is jealous that he remains a world champion at the age of 41. The Filipino beat Keith Thurman last summer to confirm his place as one of the word's leading fighters. Mayweather, meanwhile, retired in 2017 after he beat Conor McGregor which took his record to 50-0. The American eased to a one-sided points victory over the Filipino and told Fight Hype recently: "It’s sad that you hear guys say, 'I want to fight Manny Pacquiao'. But Manny Pacquiao is 41 now. Don’t chase him. You young guys chase each other. But stop chasing this old man. If the opportunity presents itself, go out and do what you got to do. Let Manny Pacquiao pick and choose who he wants to fight. With everything he’s accomplished, hopefully, he’s made some smart investments." Pacquiao responded to Mayweather and has told the Manila Times: "He is just envious because he’s already retired. We're still active and have a crown. I’m not thinking about that (retirement) yet. I’m concerned first and foremost about our countrymen and about how to resolve this pandemic." Source: The Mirror
