Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has indicated the club will not sign a replacement for outgoing club captain Ashley Young.
Young’s transfer from Manchester United to Inter Milan has been reportedly agreed – for a fee of £1.3million.
The player landed in Milan and he will sign a contract until June 2021.
Young, who has won 39 England caps, began his career at Watford and joined United from Aston Villa for £17million in June 2011.
He made 261 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 19 goals.
And now it’s hard to find a good replacement for the player but Solskjaer named players as a back-up option for Young.
"Timothy [Fosu-Mensah] is coming back as well," Solskjaer said. "He's a right-back, he played for Holland as a right-back at the age of 19, so we also want him back. Diogo is back fit, so the full-back position is quite okay."
Brendon Williams is another player who is possible to replace Young, while Luke Shaw is also capable.
