Manchester United urged to make two world-class signings to challenge Liverpool and Manchester City

Former Liverpool defender Don Hutchison has urged Manchester United to sign two world-class striker and defender in the next transfer window in order to challenge for the Premier League title. The Red Devils are on an unbeaten run of 16 matches in all competitions under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The arrival of Bruno Fernandes in January has had a huge positive impact on Solskjaer's squad. But they still find themselves 34 points adrift of newly-crowned Premier League champions Liverpool. And Hutchison believes both ends of the pitch need addressing in the transfer market. Speaking to Premier League Productions, he said: "I think what United need, in my opinion, if they're going to be serious about challenging Man City and Liverpool, they need a world-class centre-forward and a world-class centre-half. "It's good for United fans because at the start of the season when they were so indifferent and so inconsistent, if you were chucking a number out there you might go 'oh Man United are six players away'. It feels like at the minute they're only a couple away." Source- Daily and Sunday Express
