Manchester United's recently controversial star Marcus Rashford has received advice to consider joining Tottenham Hotspur amid challenges on and off the field.
The 26-year-old faced media scrutiny for partying in Belfast before reporting sick to team training, a matter now closed by the club. Despite scoring upon his return against Wolves, former player Stan Collymore suggests Rashford should choose a club with a stable manager for optimal development.
Collymore specifically mentions Tottenham and believes that a manager like Ange Postecoglou could bring out the best in Rashford.
"Postecoglou would say to Rashford ‘Mate, there’s no pressure, just go out and attack like you did when you were a kid’. He would take the weight of the world off his shoulders and probably help him rediscover his love for the game," said the pundit.
Spurs' association with Marcus Rashford is not new. One year ago, FIFA agent and former Sunderland director Roberto De Fanti disclosed in an exclusive interview that Daniel Levy had engaged in discussions with the England international's representatives for a potential transfer.
However, the deal did not come to fruition due to Manchester United's high asking price.
