Manchester United to rival Chelsea for the £99m forward

Earlier it has been reported that Chelsea are going after Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi. According to CaughtOffside, Manchester United has joined Chelsea in the race for the Serie A star. The deal for the Argentine striker is believed to be around £99m. It has also been reported that Icardi has been linked with a move to Real Madrid. The 25-year-old would be an ideal replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo at the Bernabeu, with the Portugal international proving hard to replace since his summer switch to Juventus.
