Manchester United preparing three formations for the return of Paul Pogba

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has refused to rule out using Paul Pogba in the attack when he returns to the game. The French midfielder has missed the club games suffering an ankle injury since the Arsenal 1 - 1 draw on September 30. He is expected to return for the Premier League clash against Tottenham on Wednesday. The Red Devils' midfield was depleted due to Pogba's injury as well as Nemanja Matic's long-term spell on the sidelines. Scott McTominay also missed last two games with Sheffield United and Atana with an ankle injury. While Pogba was absent, he formed the midfield with Fred. Andreas Pereira has not been chosen for the No.10 role.  Solskjaer suggests he could correspond with the midfield trio Fred, McTominay and Pogba in a 4-2-3-1 formation. The United boss told: "The beauty we have with Paul is that he can play in so many roles. He can play in a two, he can play in a three and he can play as a number 10. And I think we all saw last week, and today, that Jesse is also coming back to his best. He played centre midfield at times against Sheffield United and he has the energy and drive to do that. We've got more and more coming back and that’s great, we shall see who is fit when Paul is fit because you can’t plan too far ahead in football."
