Manchester United prepared to sign Tottenham centre-back for just £26million

According The Mirror, Tottenham will soon lose their centre-back Toby Alderweireld for just £26million as United are set to by the long-term target. The player’s contract expires in 2020 and the defender is refusing to pen a new deal with Spurs. Despite interest from Barcelona and Juventus Alderweireld’s next possible destination will be Manchester United. Alderweireld was a target of previous manager Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to renew United’s search for an elite centre-back at the end of the season. There is still time for Spurs to come up with a new contract offer, but it's not looking likely, and with the club seemingly preparing for his move to United.
