Manchester United new goalkeeper's arrival date in England revealed

Manchester United's priority target Andre Onana is expected to arrive in England this week to pass his medicals.

After the departure of club veteran David De Gea, Erik ten Hag's side is keen to bring a top-quality replacement to Old Trafford. The Inter Milan shot-stopper is the first goalkeeper on the Dutchman's shortlist, which also includes young keeper Zion Suzuki, seen as a potential backup option at the club.

According to reports from Italian outlets Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport, Onana is on the verge of signing a five-year contract with Manchester United. The player has reportedly reached an agreement with the club regarding wages and other contractual terms.

To secure the services of the Cameroonian goalkeeper, United is expected to pay Inter a transfer fee of approximately £43 million, inclusive of bonuses.

The reunion between Onana and manager Erik ten Hag is noteworthy, as they have previously worked together during their time at Ajax. Despite Onana's departure from the club while Ten Hag was in charge, it is believed that they maintain a positive relationship.
