Manchester United are currently looking to offload midfielder Paul Pogba in the January transfer window and have set a shockingly low asking price for their record signing.
The Frenchman’s future at Old Trafford was thrown into doubt this week after his agent,
Mino Raiola, claimed his time at the club was ‘over’ and he was no longer happy at United.
According to
The Sun, United chiefs are ready to cut ties with Pogba for good and will accept a greatly reduced asking price for a player who cost a club-record £89million just four years ago.
Red Devils are now willing to accept a price as low as £50m to rid themselves of the midfielder – and, more so, his problematic agent.
However, the problem is the lack of suitors for Pogba at this point in time, with Europe’s biggest clubs still on tight budgets due to the continued financial costs of the coronavirus pandemic.
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has long been interested in Pogba, but even at £50m he could prove too costly, while Juventus and PSG are two other potential destinations.
