Manchester United may reportedly sign Schalke star Rabbi Matondo if they meet his €60 million (£54m) release clause this summer. The 19-year-old has been identified as a target if the club miss out on a transfer deal for Borussia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side reportedly view Matondo as a ‘cost-efficient’ option and see him as being in the same ‘low-risk buy’ bracket to Daniel James, who arrived from Swansea nearly a year ago.

According to Manchester Evening News Scahlke's winger is very much of interest and would cost close to £54m if the club were to try and bring him to Old Trafford. He could be cut loose by Schalke, who are expected to sell first-team players at the end of the campaign.
Although the release clause is quite high for a player who has made just 13 appearances this season, scoring once, United deem him a bargain buy.
