Manchester United make £80m Leicester star James Maddison No.1 transfer target

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants Leicester City and England star James Maddison next summer and the club's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is ready to make it happen, as report Daily Star. The 23-year-old midfielder has been in fine form this season and is in the process of establishing himself in Gareth Southgate's England squad. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still a huge fan of Maddison, who fits the type of player he is looking to take to Old Trafford as part of his rebuilding job. However,  Maddison is reported to be close to signing a new and improved deal with Leicester aimed at securing his future at the King Power Stadium. He still has three-and-a-half years remaining on his current £50,000-a-week deal, but could earn triple this at Old Trafford. United will make their move in the second half of the season with Ed Woodward telling Solskjaer he will do all he can to try and negotiate a deal next summer. He will be keen to strike a deal with the Foxes before the season starts in a bid to avoid the risk of Maddison making an impact to drive his price up even higher. Source- Daily Star
