Manchester United: Injury update on Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw, Alexis Sanchez

Manchester United have a number of players out of action ahead of their Premier League game against Southampton. Anthony Martial picked up a knock in the closing stages of their defeat to Crystal Palace. His potential return date is August 31. Luke Shaw was substituted with a hamstring problem against Palace. His potential return date is also  August 31. Diogo Dalot will be out of action for the next few weeks, while Eric Bailly has undergone surgery that will keep him out of action for a few months. Alexis Sanchez played in the behind-closed-doors friendly against Sheffield United last week and is nearing a return to full fitness. While youngster Timothy Fosu-Mensah is still out after suffering a serious knee injury towards the end of last season.
