Manchester United 'have maximum price for Jadon Sancho transfer' after new bid rejected

Manchester United have £80million as ‘the ceiling’ they’re prepared to pay for Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already missed out on the England international twice in the past. Eurosport’s Dean Jones, speaking on The Football Terrace Podcast, has claimed United don’t want to pay any more than that amount to sign Sancho. “The Sancho vibe is still good from United’s angle,” Jones said. “It’s hard to get a proper grasp of where we’re at in terms of a fee. But I’m still told £80m is really the ceiling for United, they’re very keen not to be seen to be going over that. “And however this settles they would like it is reported as an £80m transfer and no more than that. That’s what I’ve been told and that’s what the club have been saying for some time now. “I was speaking to someone yesterday who said the next storyline will be does he get the No 7 shirt? People are getting so confident and there’s more of a willingness on both sides to get it done now.” Moreover, the Red Devils are still working out the best way to get a deal over the line. Raphael Varane, Kieran Trippier, Declan Rice, Jack Grealish and even Cristiano Ronaldo are being considered as the Red Devils look to win the Premier League title next time out.
